Week 3 in Pod 1

Every Tuesday the children in Pod 1 take part in Te Reo Maori with Whaea MaryAnn. It is so much fun!

On Friday we came to school with Crazy Hair and dressed in our tribe colours to raise money for Kids Can. Don't we look fabulous!

Term 3 Welcome

This term we welcome 17 new pupils to Pod 1. They are based in Room 3 with Andrena (Mondays - Thursdays) and Jen (Fridays).
Our main theme for this term is People Who Help Us. We have set up a Doctor's Surgery in our Imagine Area, as well as a Little Shop, to encourage imaginative role play around this theme. We will also be investigating "How Things Move" in science and exploring measurement in maths.

Here are a few pictures of Room 4 visiting the library on Friday. Our very helpful librarian, Melissa, read the children a story and organised a special visit from Wendy's dog, Princess.

Week 6: Welcome to our new children!

We have had fun getting to know the 12 new children who started school this week. We have based our learning around the letter B - bubbles, bears, bees, bugs and butterflies!
Here are a few photos of us in action:

We put our bears in order from smallest to biggest.

We had fun writing B and b.
